Prospect puts questions to Scottish parties ahead of election

18 March 2021

Prospect has sent a series of policy questions through to major political parties in Scotland ahead of the upcoming Holyrood elections.

The questions cover a broad spectrum of issues directly affecting Prospect members in Scotland, ranging from support for sectors such as defence and the creative industries, public sector pay, digital infrastructure, and the ongoing dispute at Highlands and Islands Airports Ltd.

A full list of the questions posed can be found here: https://library.prospect.org.uk/download/2021/00311

The union has asked all parties for timely responses to the questions so that they can be shared with members ahead of the elections.

Prospect National Secretary for Scotland Richard Hardy said:

“These elections come at an important time for members in Scotland as we begin to emerge from the pandemic.

“As a politically independent union, we will be pressing all parties on their policy agendas so that members have as much information as possible before casting their votes.

“We want to see a Scotland where good work is promoted, where the voices of workers are valued and where workers in all sectors are supported.”
