Member activity hub
The hub is an area designed to support members looking to build in their workplace through activity, growing their membership and union visibility. These three key elements are vital when seeking to win union recognition.
Recognition allows members to have a real input in their workplace on working conditions, pay, and policies. This negotiating is commonly referred to as ‘collective bargaining’.
The resources listed below are a culmination of ideas from staff and reps/branches/activists who have recently achieved recognition.

Additional resources
If you are thinking about approaching your employer for recognition, it is worthwhile to do when you feel at the strongest as a collective. Chat to staff about the benefits of the union and why recognition would add value to your workplace. Recognition won’t happen overnight, so you must have an appetite for a campaign and thrive in a challenge. Your dedicated union staff can support you with this.
