A Step Change in UK Shipbuilding Skills

The UK Shipbuilding Skills Taskforce was formed in 2020 to look specifically and problems facing employer trying to attract staff in to the industry.

It was formed from industry, academia and Trade Unions and included Prospect’s National Secretary Bob King.

Prospect consulted with representatives from ship yards across the UK during the passage of the taskforce and ensured that work voice was at the centre of the recommendations.
