Meta job cuts deeply worrying for workers and UK tech sector

Facebook and Instagram parent company Meta has announced a further round of job cuts.

Prospect General Secretary Mike Clancy said: 

“These latest job cuts from Meta are deeply worrying for our members and for the future of the UK tech industry. 

“We will be supporting our members at Meta throughout this process to ensure they are treated fairly and their employment rights are upheld. 

“Workers across the tech sector, worried about job losses, are increasingly joining unions like ours to stand up for their rights.”
