Meta risk exposing staff to harmful content amid proposed job cuts

Rachel Curley, Deputy General Secretary of leading union for tech workers Prospect, responding to Nick Clegg’s comments at Davos supporting changes at Meta, said:

“These changes announced by Meta risk exposing staff to increasing levels of harmful content, while other staff lose their jobs as the company seeks to appease the new President.

“Meta executives should be spending their time listening to their staff who are worried about the future, not currying favour with millionaires in Davos.

“Nick Clegg may be leaving Meta but he still has a chance to show real leadership by demonstrating solidarity with his colleagues who are now fearing for their own jobs.”
