Review of O2’s final salary ( sections 2 and 3 ) and pension scheme

Prospect members have supported the proposed negotiated outcome to the review of sections 2 and 3 of O2’s final salary pension scheme.

93% of members in the scheme voted in favour of accepting the proposal. O2 has been advised.

We understand other stakeholders have also supported the changed proposals, so the new scheme will take effect from June 1st 2011.

The company will now put in place seminars and opportunities for independent financial advice commencing next month to ensure all are able to choose which of the 3 options best suits their circumstances.
