Bargaining for a mentally healthy workplace

This course will help you to bargain and campaign for better mental health provision in the workplace.  

It is designed to help build your knowledge of and confidence in collectively addressing stress and mental health in workplace settings; the law and best practice; and bargaining to deliver enhanced mental health support and stress prevention.

  • Approximately seven hours in total, which includes two scheduled three-hour online classes and some independent study/work to be completed in between.
  • Reps will need to commit to attending both sessions.
  • Please note: this is not a Mental Health First Aid Course.

Who is the course for?

Any Rep who has attended Reps part 1 or How to be an effective H&S Rep.

What will I learn?

  • Knowledge of mental health conditions and how they may manifest themselves in the workplace
  • The law governing employers’ approach to stress and mental health
  • The Health and Safety Executive’s Management Standards and organisational stress risk assessments 
  • This is not a Mental Health First Aid Course.
