Prospect is committed to ensuring our workplace representatives have the skills and knowledge they need to carry out their trade union role effectively and to the best of their ability.

This course is designed to help you learn more about the laws, policies and agreements that work around online formal hearings to help you represent members effectively.

  • 3 hours online (usually AM). A small amount of pre–reading is required.

Who is the course for?

Reps (ideally completed Reps part 1 and Reps part 2).

Those who have a role in dealing with personal cases for members, but through COVID circumstances haven’t had an opportunity to represent a member either in person or online.

What will I learn?

  • Learn more about the laws, policies and agreements that work around online formal hearings
  • Learn more about how to represent individual members effectively
  • Experience an online hearing utilising strategy planning, preparation and role play a formal hearing environment.
  • Make some plans for when you return to work
