Let Britain Fly is calling on the government to expand airport capacity in London and the South East to support jobs and growth.
The campaign aims to build cross-party political support for new runways because Heathrow is full and Gatwick and Stansted will soon be too.
Gavin Hayes, the Director of the campaign said: “It is of strategic national importance that Britain remains Europe’s most important aviation hub. The UK economy will lose its competitive edge if politicians fail to act soon to expand airport capacity.”
Let Britain Fly has organised meetings in Newcastle, Newquay, Liverpool and Edinburgh.
These roundtable events want to engage key stakeholders in the UK’s nations and regions on the importance of airport expansion in London and the South East, with a strong focus on the importance of domestic connectivity.
