Undermining the right to strike is completely unacceptable

Prospect has responded to the introduction of a bill to further restrict the rights of working people and their unions.
Mike Clancy, General Secretary said:
“Undermining the right to strike – which is always a last resort for workers in a dispute – is completely unacceptable. We are living through the worst cost-of-living crisis in a generation and this smacks of an attempt to distract from the complete chaos at the heart of government.
“We will wholeheartedly oppose this legislation which has no mandate, no public support and will do nothing to improve the lives of working people.”
