Tackling the gender pension gap

Women retire with significantly less pension income than men, with our latest research showing a gender pension gap of 32.9%.

Driven by caring responsibilities, lower lifetime earnings and inequalities within the pensions system, the gap leaves many women financially disadvantaged in retirement.

Prospect is calling for urgent action to measure and tackle this unfairness.
