How to become a rep

Reps are the superheroes of unions. They can make a real difference by helping to:

• improve pay and conditions
• protect people’s rights at work
• encourage fairness in the workplace
• promote a healthy and safe work environment
• improve access to training and career development
• recruit and inform new members

You can be a rep who does case work but there are so many other ways you can be a superhero too. You can become a Health & Safety rep, an Environment rep or a Communications rep to name a few.
