London Biggin Hill Airport and Prospect union sign recognition agreement for air traffic services employees

London Biggin Hill Airport Limited (BHAL) and Prospect union entered into a formal recognition agreement establishing a framework for collective bargaining and ongoing partnership for employees who provide air traffic services.

Signed in April 2026, the agreement covers designated air traffic control and support roles and sets out principles for constructive employee relations, regular consultation and collaborative problem-solving.

The agreement affirms a shared commitment to supporting employees’ careers and wellbeing while enabling the airport to continue delivering high-quality services and pursuing future growth.

By providing a clear structure for dialogue on pay, hours and other terms and conditions, Prospect and BHAL aim to foster a positive working environment that benefits employees and the organisation.
