Prospect seeks clarity from government over devolution and civil service reform
Prospect is seeking clarity from government over its plans for devolution and wider reform, and what they could mean for our civil service members and their organisations.
Prospect has written to the Cabinet Office and, through the new Partnership Framework, we will be engaging with government to understand the implications of its plans for our members.
Prospect is also seeking clarity on how the new direction will affect existing civil service change programmes, including the review of arm’s length bodies and plans for wider civil service reform.
General Secretary Mike Clancy said the union was very conscious of the uncertainty the announcements could create and was pressing government to provide clarity as soon as possible.
Prospect will also continue to press government on outstanding issues affecting civil servants, including pay progression for delegated grades and the implementation of AI across government.
