Training for reps

Important update

Due to the current situation with COVID-19 Coronavirus, we have unfortunately been forced to cancel all of our courses until the end of year* and moved to a blended format with a digital first approach.

We offer free training for our reps every step of the way. Training helps reps to maximise their effectiveness as a rep to ensure their branch can be as successful as possible. Our training will also help reps develop in their careers outside of their union role.

All reps will undergo our ‘Reps 1’ training course to get them started. From there, there are various training paths reps can take.

The union is now offering Reps 1 and Reps 2 training on line using zoom.  If you would like to express an interest in participating in our online, representative training , please email education@prospect.org.uk indicating which course, your branch and membership number and ensure that your organiser/negotiating official has authorised your application.

To help inform your decisions please note that the online Representative Training commitment is :

Reps 1 online delivery is offered either 3 x 1 hour sessions in 1 day or over 3 consecutive weeks at the same time (with a small amount of pre-work).

Reps 2 online delivery is offered over 3 consecutive days and involves some pre-course work and 2 pieces of homework between the sessions that amount to up to 1 hour each.
